I went to Stu­dio 35 in Sono­ma last week­end to see if they would be inter­est­ed in my work.  I was run­ning behind from San Fran­cis­co traf­fic, so I arrived a few min­utes late.  I could­n’t find the stu­dio direc­tor any­where at Peet’s, where we were sup­posed to meet!  I tried call­ing her, but her voice­mail was full.  Oh no!  Did I miss an incred­i­ble oppor­tu­ni­ty?  Now what to do?  Dri­ve back to SF in a funk?

I calmed myself down enough to buy myself a chamomile tea and chill and regroup.  Then I got a text back from her say­ing she was at the cof­fee shop.  It turned out she was sit­ting right next to me talk­ing to anoth­er artist!  I showed her my work, and she showed me what spaces were avail­able at the gallery, and we sealed the deal!  The next thing I knew, she was giv­ing me a 5‑hour tour of Sonoma!

This will be my first for­mal art gallery show­ing, and I’m very excit­ed!  If you’re any­where near Sono­ma on July 5th or 6th (or any­time after that!) please stop by to view the work of many tal­ent­ed artists.
