This is the first nude I’ve post­ed on my blog.  I guess it’s not ter­ri­bly nude since I’ve sil­hou­et­ted much of it out.  But trust me, it’s nude.

I’ve done sev­er­al nude mod­el shoots, which I ini­tial­ly though would help build a port­fo­lio for a boudoir pho­tog­ra­phy busi­ness.  Well, that busi­ness nev­er took off, which is just as well for my fine art work.

Nudes can be great fine art.  Where do you cross the line between nude art and pornog­ra­phy?  As some­one once said, “I know it when I see it”.

This shot was one of a set which were par­tic­u­lar­ly amaz­ing, as the sun was set­ting behind her.  I was work­ing with a new lens, and unfor­tu­nate­ly many of the oth­er shots in this series are not very good tech­ni­cal­ly.  They are still beau­ti­ful in terms of com­po­si­tion and Mika’s pos­es.  Hope­ful­ly, with more work, I can get them to a pre­sentable state.
