My daughter and I took a late-night photography excursion during my recent visit to Washington DC. I prefer night photography anyway, but also there was rain forecast for the rest of the weekend, so I needed to get some shots in while I could. We ended up getting lost and didn’t get back to our hotel room until after 1:30 am. My sister had some concerns about our safety, but the Mall was absolutely desolate.
I took this shot halfway between the Washington Monument and the Capitol Building. I used HDR to bring out the brighter green in the grass. My sister plans to put this one up on the wall of her new condo.
